Our Worship Life
Worship is foundational to all Christian life, so we take our worship responsibilities seriously, yet joyously. Worship is a time we set apart in our lives to re-center on what really matters. We encourage living daily worshipful lives, as well as coming together and worshiping in community.
Seelyville UMC’s Sunday worship is at 9:30 am, and is a service that draws from the best of ancient, traditional, and contemporary worship practices. Sunday school for all ages begins at 10:45 am.
September 5 — “By God’s Rules” — Hebrews 13:1-8, 15-16 and Luke 14:1, 7-14
Humility and love, through praise and sacrifice, are what pleases God.
September 12 — “Incredible Mercy” — 1 Timothy 1:12-17 and Luke 15:1-10
We are recipients of incredible mercy to show that God in Christ is out to save sinners.
September 19 — “Incredible Prayer” — 1 Timothy 2:1-7 and Luke 16:1-13
Since we have all received incredible mercy, what we offer in prayer can and should be an extension of that mercy toward all the world.
September 26 — “Richly Content” — 1 Timothy 6:6-19 and Luke 16:19-31
Are we content with the abundant grace and supply of God, to “pursue righteousness, godliness, endurance, faith, love and gentleness?”
